Concept Analysis Life


Abstract
The Development of Nursing theory is important for explanation, prediction and control of Nursing Practice. Concepts are the basic building blocks of theory. The basic purpose of concept analysis is to clarify ambiguous concepts in a theory, and to propose a precise operational definition which reflects its theoretical base.
Though the term of Life used usually in everyday, it is not clearly definition. Especially, we regarded elderly as ill person or dependented person, and refered to negative perspective in eldery life. Clarification of concept life is necessary to promote the understanding of cultural perception and the development of Nursing theory.
The concept life reviewed at the relevance of Nursing in context of Newman¢¥s theory. This paper was examined by Walker & Avant analytic approach. The investigator reviewed nursing and general literature on Life, and elderly life. Elderly life in Korea was similar to life in general society.
So, This paper focused at analysis of life.
The concept can be defined as follows; Life is significant behavior as represented interaction with environment, and followed by individual value and amis, continued evolving process of human being.
The defining attributes of life are;
1. It includes evolutional process of human being.
2. It is variable by individual value, aims.
3. Life involves :active, unique, creative factor, and integral system as consciousness and behavior.
4. It is interaction with environment.
5. It includes experience of time and space.
6. Life has meaningness of self.
7. Life has made be patterning.
Further research using concept synthesis of elderly life or elderly health life concept was recommended. And emerging categories need to be confirmed or changed and emerging relationships suggested which will lead to the proposal of hypotheses. These hypotheses can be tested to contributed to further to development of theory for nursing practice.
